Save Money on Ink by Using Draft Quality

By James Marshall, About.com

If you want to save money on ink, you can set Word to print in draft quality. The print won't be as dark as in normal quality since less ink is used. However, this is fine if you're not planning on sharing your documents.

To set draft quality as the default, follow these steps:

1. Click the Tools menu
2. Select Options
3. Click on the Print tab
4. Under Printing options select Draft output
5. Click OK
