Creating Blog Posts in Word 2007

By , About.com Guide

One of the new features in Word 2007 is the ability to publish directly to a blog. You can use Microsoft Word to publish to popular services such as Blogger and Windows Live Spaces. You can also specify other blogging services.

To create a new blog entry, click the Microsoft Office button and click New. Double-click New blog entry.

Create your blog post. You can insert pictures, links, and formatted text. Before you publish it, make sure you enter a title in the Post title box.

To publish your blog post from Microsoft Word, click Publish in the Publish section of the Blog Post ribbon. To save your blog post as a draft on your blog account, click the arrow beside the Publish button and select Publish as Draft.

You can also publish a document to a blog by clicking the Microsoft Office button. Click Publish and select Blog. Enter a title for your blog post and click Publish on the Blog Post ribbon.

If you haven’t set up your blogging account with Microsoft Word, you’ll need to do that before you can publish it. To learn how to do this, click here.
