Turning off the Project Gallery in Mac Office

Microsoft Office’s Project Gallery is handy when you need a little help creating documents. It provides a number of options to get you up and going. But it can get in the way when you don’t need it.

Fortunately, you can disable the Project Gallery. That way, it is accessible when you need it, but it doesn’t open every time you start Word.

To turn off the Project Gallery, follow these simple steps:


1. Click Word

2. Select Preferences

3. Open the General section

4. Deselect Show Project Gallery at startup

5. Click OK

To access the Project Gallery at a later time, click the File menu and select Project Gallery…
