Printing a Select Portion of a Document

By James Marshall, About.com

Clicking the Print icon on the Standard toolbar will print the entire contents of your file. However, you often won’t want to print an entire document. This is particularly true if the document is particularly long. By accessing the Print dialog box, you can work around this.

First, highlight the portion of your document you would like to print. It can be any part of the document.

Press the Ctrl+P shortcut key or select Print from the File menu.

Under Page Range, click the radio button beside Selection.

Click OK.

The selected portion of your document will print.
