Inserting Outlook Contact Information in Word’s Envelope Wizard

By , About.com Guide

When you use the Envelope Wizard in Word, you don’t need to retype the name and address of the recipient. You can insert contact information from Outlook. That is if you use Outlook to manage your contacts.

To insert address from your Outlook contacts, follow these steps:

1. Click Tools>>Letters and Mailings

2. Select Envelopes and Labels on the submenu

3. Click the address book icon beside Delivery Address

4. You may be prompted to select your Outlook address book

5. In the Select Name dialog box, select the recipient’s name

6. Click OK

7. The name and address will appear in the Envelopes and Labels dialog box

You can edit the name and address if you need. You can also insert a return address from Outlook. Simply click the address book icon beside Return Address. Follow the same steps for inserting a delivery address.

Once you inserted the address information, click Print to print the envelope.
