It is somewhat puzzling that Microsoft would assign these advanced formatting commands to the standard toolbar. While they are valuable tools, most users probably won’t be using them for every document they create. Their functions are as follows:

Insert Hyperlink: Inserts a link to a place on the internet.
Tables and Borders: Activates or deactivates the tables and borders toolbar.
Insert Table: Inserts a table in the current document.
Insert Microsoft Excel Worksheet: Inserts an Excel worksheet in the current document.
Columns: Divides the document area into vertical rows.
Drawing: Activates or deactivates the drawing toolbar.
