Installing the Support.dot template

Word includes a template to help you troubleshoot problems with your Word setup. If you’re having problems with Word, you should use the Support.dot template to help you resolve your issues.

The Support.dot template should be installed with a complete Word setup. If it isn’t installed, click start and select Control Panel.

In the Control Panel, double-click Add or Remove Programs. Select Change or Remove Programs. Select Microsoft Office in the Currently installed programs list. Click Change.

In the Office Setup box, select Add or Remove Features and click Next.

Select Microsoft Word for Windows>>Wizards and Templates and click the icon for More Templates and Macros. Select Run all from my computer on the shortcut menu. Click Update to install the Support.dot template.
