Inserting a Chart in Word 2004

A chart is a good way to show statistical information in your documents. Fortunately, Word 2004 makes it easy to create, edit, and insert charts in a document.

1. Click Insert>>Picture

2. Select Chart on the submenu

3. A spreadsheet and chart box opens

4. You can edit the information in the spreadsheet to change the chart

5. Additionally, the Chart toolbar opens, which provides more tools for formatting the chart.

6. To close the chart box and spreadsheet, simply click the Microsoft Graph icon on the program dock and select Quit

7. The chart appears in your document

8. You can move or resize the chart as you desire.
