Adjusting Margins in Mac Word 2008

The document margins are an important part of formatting your document in Microsoft Word 2008 for Mac. Fortunately, the default values are fine for most situations. But, there are times when you will want to change them. For example, making them smaller will help you when you’re formatting a resume.

To change the document margins in Word 2008 for Mac, follow these simple steps:

1. Open the Formatting Palette on the Word Toolbox

2. If the Toolbox is not visible, Click View and select Formatting Palette under Toolbox

3. Expand the Document Margins section by clicking the arrow beside it

4. Use the controls to change the left, right, top and bottom margins. You can also click and enter the margin size in inches

5. The Document Margins section also lets you change the margins for the header and footer
