Editing Document Properties in Mac Word 2008

Properties can tell you a lot about your document without even opening it. Properties can contain document statistics, the document title, review information and even comments.

If you’re not using document properties with you’re document, you’re missing out. Properties make it easier for you to find and identify your document.

To add properties to your Word 2008 document, follow these steps:

1. Click File>>Properties

2. On the Summary tab, you can name author, company, title, category, keywords and comments on the document. You can even opt to save a document preview.

3. On the Statistics and Contents tab, you can learn more about the document and the editing process.

4. On the Custom tab, you can add information about the company and person who created the document. You can also add information about to whom the document should be sent.
[br} 5. When you’re done editing the properties, click OK.

The document Properties will give you greater control over your documents, particularly after they’ve been created. They make searching for and distributing documents easier.
