Resize Versus Crop

So, maybe you have a picture or a piece of Clip Art in your document and you are trying to decide if you should crop it to make it fit better in your document or if you should resize it. What? I can't be the only one who has had to ask myself this to Crop or Resize?

My answer usually is BOTH! I prefer to crop out the extra space and unnecessary background. Then I shrink it down to the size I need. This lets you keep the focus on the subject of the image, no matter how small you make it.
